How To Help

Amethyst Place, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, is entirely funded by donations and grants from the community. Nearly every dollar you contribute goes directly to caring for the families who find shelter at Amethyst Place. Every Board member works for free, volunteering their time to help the women and children who come to us to heal.

Your Donation Can Make a Difference!

Join us in the campaign to provide a safe, supportive environment for these families. There are a number of ways to make a donation to Amethyst Place and contribute to its mission to support the recovery and enhanced quality of life for drug-affected families in Kansas City. There is so much you can do - make a financial contribution, donate goods and services or volunteer your time.

Financial Contributions

You can donate cash and pledges, marketable securities, real estate, corporate matching gifts, foundation grants, in-kind support, bequests, life insurance, charitable trusts, unitrusts, gift annuities and lead trusts. You may consider a gift and a pledge with a three-year period for completion of your gift intentions. You may also designate a particular purpose or component of Amethyst Place services for which you wish your donation to be used.

Our families always need so many things. Beyond the basics like children's clothing, toys and supplies that are in good condition, there are other tangible needs, such as:
